Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue & Terelj National Park
Chinggis Khan Statue complex is constructed in 2008, locates at Tsonjin Boldog, where about 55 km away from Ulaanbaatar to the east.
Visitors walk to the head of the horse through its chest and neck, where they have a panoramic view from 131 foot (40 m) high.
The complex includes an impressive museum (with Hunnu artefacts and items from the Mongol empire), a cafe and a souvenir shop. A short film describes how the monument was built.
The day trip can be extended to Gorkhi Terelj National Park. It takes only half an hour to reach to this beautiful National Park Terelj.
Gorkhi Terelj National Park is considered one of the most beautiful worth visiting places for travelers who wanted to rest in surroundings near UB. If you like adventure activities such as hiking, horse or camel riding and visiting nomad family, this is the real place to fulfill your wishes.
The park has many rock formations look like Turtle Rock and the Old Man Reading a Book. The wild life includes brown bears and over 250 species of birds, many more wildflowers, Yestii Hot Water Springs and the Tuul River that flows through the park.
